The broken bridge is the only remnant of the first stone bridge built on the Tiber River. It was situated next to the fully functional Paratino Bridge and collapsed in 1598. Today, this incomplete white giant is sadly placed under moss and grass, leaving modern Romans to rush past it. Perhaps visitors with a special interest in Roman architecture will find it worth a visit.
