It was built in 1250 and adopts a Gothic style, making it one of the representative buildings in the city of Metz. The choir of the church and the first three bays of the nave still exist, showcasing the characteristics of early Gothic architecture. Between 1470 and 1500, the church was expanded by adding a magnificent Gothic porch. In addition, there are some precious artworks and cultural relics inside the church, including some murals and sculptures.
