Schönbrunn Palace, a stunning Baroque complex in Vienna, has been in Habsburg possession since 1569. Eleonore von Gonzaga, the wife of Emperor Ferdinand II, built a pleasure palace on the site in 1642, naming it "Schönbrunn." The palace and garden complex are now a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its historical significance, unique layout, and magnificent furnishings. In 2022, it attracted over 2.3 million visitors, making it a popular tourist attraction.
Stunningly beautiful inside and outside (even during winter/early spring when I went and there weren’t any flowers). The audio guided tour of the palace interior was interesting and told the stories of the royal family and their different lives and various hardships
