St. Jacob’s Catholic Cathedral of Riga

St. James's Church in Riga is located south of the Dome Cathedral in the Old Town. It is a Roman Catholic cathedral. The patron saint is St. Jacob. It was built in the early 15th century. The Southern End of the early Gothic Church was built. The Baroque altar was renovated in 1901. St. James's Cathedral was completed in 1255. The first Lutheran service in Latvia was held in the interior of the church in a baroque style with a blue spire as its signature sign, whichever direction in the old town can be easily identified.

Recorded since 1225, it is a very old church in Riga. Rebuilt in the 15th century, the main tower is about 80 meters high. The bell hanging by the clock tower is called the bell of the sad sinner. When we went, it was repaired and could not be visited, and the cafe in the alley behind was good.
