Antoninus and Faustina Temple

This is another temple beside the Plaza of Ancient Rome. The whole structure is typical of the architectural style of the period of Ancient Rome. The six stone pillars outside the temple are well preserved, but unfortunately they can not be visited inside.

The Temple of Antoninus and Faustina was built in 141 A.D. by Emperor Antoninus for Fautina, the wife of God. This temple is the best preserved temple in the ancient Roman square, opposite Regia and Kitchen Temple. There is a baroque top on the main entrance pillar of the temple. It was built later and is now used as a church.
