From the guest rooms of the ＡＮＡ Intercontinental Manza Beach Resort where we stayed, Manzamo, which is famous as a scenic spot in Okinawa, was seen on the opposite bank. In front of it, I could see two rocks called Tobera Rock well in the river. Tobera Rock, which is close to the Okinawa Brut Cove, was a picturesque scenery. It is said that such Tobera Iwa is sometimes called "Meotoiwa of Okinawa".

I saw "Tobera Rock" from the Manzamo Observatory. It's a Meotoiwa that two large and small rocks are tied with thick shimenawa. It is also said to be the southernmost "Meotoiwa" in Japan. The name "Tobera" is that there is a "Tobera tree" on the rock. It seems that there is also a name from there.

If you follow the Manzamo promenade, you will see two giant rocks connected by Shimenawa on the Manza Beach side. This Meotoiwa is locally called "Tobera Rock". I thought of Meotoiwa in Futamigaura, my hometown of Mie Prefecture, but it is also a mysterious and famous rock that prays for the safety of the sea for the perfect couple.
