We arranged the elephant tour directly through SOS when we were in Agra. We came in October and had two tour times to choose from, we chose a 2-hour excursion from 10am to 12pm. Remember to reserve enough time for yourself to take a car from Agra to the conservation area. The road conditions can be long after leaving the city of Agra. Our small group was only four people. On arrival, we saw a very sad video showing the elephant in captivity in various ways. Then you need to sign some forms before you can enter the reserve. The visit was very interesting and educational. The conservation group is doing something admirable to protect elephants, and they have actually eliminated the local practice of training bears to dance in India! While we were in the reserve, we saw elephants were getting enough food and staff were showering the elephants. They all looked so happy! We took some great photos and videos! Remember never to go to the elephant show or ride. This reserve needs funding from the Foundation to feed and care for elephants and free them from painful memories of incarceration. Please help by visiting the conservation area (ticket)!

I had a great experience at the wildlife rescue centre, the staff there were amazing, they took care of the elephants very well. Our guide, Harri, was very knowledgeable and gave us detailed information about the background of each elephant and the work the rescue center did to rescue them. There is a large venue for elephants to walk twice a day, hoping to scale up so they can save more elephants. The centre has a small restaurant serving snacks, cold drinks. There is also a souvenir shop, but there is no pressure to buy anything (a t-shirt worth £5). Forget the negative reviews, those who complain that they can’t ride or touch elephants completely miss the point of this place. Maybe you should go to the circus to see them abused to satisfy your pleasure? As for donations, the money will go to the operation of the hotel, which is only a dime for most Western tourists. I am surprised people will complain about it. All in all, I would recommend this trip to all to help improve the lives of these elephants.
Matulu's Wildlife, Elephant Care and Conservation Center is about an hour's drive from Agra. Many injured or disabled animals are well cared for in the conservation center. Of course, in an ideal world, it would be better if elephants could return to the wild, if you could support the centre by donating.
The group was founded in 1995 by a small group of people to protect India's natural heritage, forests and wildlife. Today, the organization has developed to protect Indian wildlife, protect habitats, study biodiversity, conduct research and create sustainable alternatives to the livelihoods of people who depend on wildlife for their livelihoods.
Animals will be encountered in India's streets, anytime, anywhere, elephants, camels, of course, transportation! Cattle and sheep, pigs, monkeys on the road at will, the car has to stop and wait for it, India is a multi-religious country, is a vegetarian church, so birds and animals are like paradise, as for rescue organizations must save the old, weak and sick animals! The cow demon king is a Hindu god!
