Not far from the capital Ljubljana, Approx 1 hour bus drive will drop you there. Very suitable for one day trip. The lake is huge and water is clear, very suitable for swimming. 🏊 The most famous thing about the lake is the 17th Century church standing in the middle of the lake. We were lucky as our group were the only ones in the popular tourist spot, allowing us to enjoy more of the beautiful natural scenery before more tourists arrive in the area. After taking a thousand photos around the wonderful crystal clear lake, we sampled the bled cream cake and some hot chocolate (perfect for this autumn weather) from a cozy restaurant fronting the lake —- allowing us to relax and enjoy our delicious fare while admiring such a magnificent view 😊🍂

This is the restaurant that every tourist is seeking out when traveling back to Slovenia. You'll find classic Slovenian staples here, very filling, heart-warming, good. I'd go so far as to say comfort food! Our meal here was well-deserved after climbing the stairs up and down from Bled Castle. The decor is classic gostilna style. We felt like we had a very authentic gostilna meal here. As you'll read in the menu, they make it a priority to locally source all of their ingredients. We went to Gostilna Murka and the menu offers a few different selections where you'll find "platter-style" entrees, so if you are looking to try a little bit of everything, I'd suggest these. We ourselves got the classic squid and potato, and creamy pasta, plus they gave you some sides to eat it with. In the heart of the Slovenian mountains you will find beautiful Lake Bled. With it's little church on an island it is one of the most impressive sights in the whole country.

It is such a nice place to visit. Nature there is so unbelievable, and breathtaking. It's a stunning image I won't forget in a hurry.

As I gazed out at the horizon, I couldn't help but be amazed by the beauty of nature. Although I initially planned to wait for the sunrise, the view was breathtaking. The lake before me looked like a perfect mirror reflection, with every detail of the surroundings reflected onto its surface. The moment's tranquility made me appreciate the simple things in life and feel grateful for being able to witness such a magical sight. #slovenia #bled #sunrise

Lake Bled is one of the most picturesque places in Slovenia. 3 travellers recommended me to visit Lake Bled so I knew I had to visit it. I went there on a day trip from Zagreb with a Trip Advisor tour and made a friend on the trip. The tour included a boat ride around the island and Bled Castle, which was pretty pricey. Personally, I think you don’t have to pay the entrance fees to any attractions there as the highlight of the place is really the views. Going for a swim around the island would also be ideal. #winhkflight I would love to go Hong Kong next to visit Ocean Park!

The one I can't forget is passing through Slovenia from Croatia on my way to Hungary; Slovenia is just too beautiful, completely unexpected. I only knew about this small country during the World Cup, with a population of less than 2 million, and later it even won the European Championship. However, if you travel around the former Yugoslavia region, you'll find that people are tall and slender, which is particularly suitable for sports. In Slovenia, people usually visit the capital Ljubljana and Lake Bled. The capital is small, but as pretty as a toy city, very exquisite. Because of the many dragon sculptures, it is also known as the 'City of Dragons', suitable for a two-day, one-night stay. From the bus station, take a coach to Lake Bled, just over an hour, and as soon as you get off the bus, your eyes are in paradise, that kind of beauty is truly captivating, afraid to miss every detail. The combination of snow-capped mountains, the blue lake, and the castle on the hill is perfect, with the church on the island in the lake being the crowning touch of the painting. On the lake, there are various sailboats and kayaks, full of a sporty atmosphere? Vibrant. There are also many people practicing yoga by the water. One day is actually enough to play, go up to the castle on the hilltop for photos, and walk around the lake. You can also walk to the nearby village, where the little houses in the village are so beautiful, simply an ideal paradise. There is a chain supermarket by the lake to solve lunch, if you want to make do with something cheaper. There is an entrance fee to the island in the lake, I didn't go in, but it looks quite beautiful from the outside too. Now, looking back at the photos, I especially miss that place.

A walk around the lake's perimeter, which takes about an hour, revealed ever-changing vistas and hidden corners where the true spirit of Bled comes to life. The path, dotted with benches and small cafés, invites visitors to pause, reflect, and take in the panoramic beauty. Lake Bled's allure extends beyond its visual beauty. The region is known for its culinary delights, including the famous Bled cream cake, a delicious treat that perfectly complements the experience of visiting this idyllic location. Visiting Lake Bled is not just a journey to a destination but an immersion in a landscape that embodies the harmony of nature and culture.
