About Colombo

Colombo is the capital of Sri Lanka and is known as the “Crossroads of the Orient.” It is a typical coastal city of Southeast Asia, with a charming seaside landscape and towering skyscrapers, as well as resplendent temple halls. The romantic and leisurely atmosphere gives Colombo its special enchanting character. Colombo's National Museum and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall are both symbolic locations worth visiting. You can also depart from the railway station at the Colombo Fortress and experience the feel of a seaside train like in the film “Spirited Away.”

Located in the heart of the Beta area of Colombo, the Bandaranaike International Conference Hall is one of the city's most notable landmarks. The building is a project by the Chinese government that assists Sri Lanka free of charge. It has played an important role in the social life of Sri Lanka after its completion. The entire building has complete facilities, and a large conference hall, hundreds of telephone lines and a library to show its momentum.

The Independence Square is located on the east side of Colombo University and is the site where the 1948 Independence Ceremony of Sri Lanka was held. In the center of the square there is an Independence Hall built to commemorate Sri Lanka's departure from British colonial rule and simulate the meeting of the royal family and visitors during the Kandy Dynasty. In front of the memorial hall is a statue of the founding Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Don Stephen Senanayake.

Museum
The Colombo National Museum is a two-storey grand white building and an ancient museum in Sri Lanka. Built in 1877, it was built in 1980. It is a good stop for Sri Lanka to come and take a walk to get a good understanding of Sri Lanka's culture and history. Here you can see ancient Sri Lankan art, sculptures and sculptures, swords and guns left over from the colonial period, precious ancient devil masks, exquisite handicrafts and famous murals. Many animal, insect and geological specimens are displayed in the natural science room.
Gangaramaya Temple

Temple
The temple has been established for more than 120 years. It is a well-crafted building that combines the architectural features of Sri Lanka, Thailand, India and China. The entrance to the temple is quite shocking. There are two statues of Guan Gong playing a big knife, and there is a living elephant next to it. The Buddha statues in the temples are a collection of Buddha statues from various Asian countries. The interior of the temple is not large. Several rooms are connected together and full of various treasures. There are hundreds of statues of Buddhas and statues. The posture is strange.
