TodemmyWe arrived at the Posada and went straight to this Bodega for lunch and wine tasting. We tasted the 3 wines in the mid -range. All excellent. The empanadas and cheese and meats were delicious. All are house made. Joanna was our hostess and is lovely. We came back the next day for lamb sandwiches made on their asado. Outstanding! Once of the highlights of our trip to Uruguay. Definitely recommend!!
TodemmyWhat a surprise. El Legado is a family enterprise with a touching story. Bernardo (the owner), her wife and sons receive the visitors with the utmost kind way. It is a good opportunity to know an almost artisan way to make wine. The lunch and wine tasting were great. Simple and delicious. The bodega makes only three wines (Syrah, Tannat and a blend of both), all of them quite good, specially the blend. They are building a 4-room inn to receive visits. It will be another great option to enjoy Carmelo.
TodemmyI really want to give this winery a better rating and I don't regret going there. However, you can tell that this winery is in transition and it needs to be updated. However, if you want to see a winery a bit of a time tunnel with a lot of original equipment displayed (unused), this is very interesting. The basement is pretty cool!
