This is a pretty cool building to check out in Chicago. You will find incorporated into the lower levels of the tower many relics from the world's most famous buildings: rocks and bricks from the Taj Mahal, the Parthenon, the Great Wall of China, Angkor Wat, Hagia Sofia, the Grand Pyramid... just to name a few. Those souvenirs where brought back by the Tribune's correspondents prior to it's construction in 1925.

Introduction
The iconic Tribune Tower on Chicago's Michigan Avenue is almost as iconic as the newspaper for with it's named. First published in 1847 Chicago Tribune Co has grown to one of the largest and most trusted news sources in America. The Tribune is the largest paper in the Great Lakes region and eighth largest in the country. Today the Chicago Tribune is owned by the Tribune Company, a newspaper holding company, and in recent years has scaled away its non-essential holdings such as Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs as it struggles to cope with the pressures on the wider industry.

This is a pretty cool building to check out in Chicago. The exterior of the Chicago Tribune Tower has pieces of other buildings adorning its outside walls. It's pretty cool to see pieces of one of the Giza pyramids, Edinburgh Castle and other historically significant pieces of architecture on this building in downtown Chicago. Helpful Tip: Rumor has it that a piece of moon rock until NASA repossessed it.
The Tribune building is right up my alley, a Franken-style structure featuring Art Deco and gothic influences. The top of the building was inspired by the French Rouen cathedral (no wonder why I love it!). I was particularly taken with the bizarre homage to famous structures around the world at the ground level, which you can see stones from numerous worldwide attractions.
Can we go inside of it?! It seems like a working place
One of my favorite buildings in Chicago. This gothic wonder was the winner in an architecture design contest and was built in the early 1900s. i was lucky enough to work in the building in 2011. Walk all around the base to see the special 'stones' from around the world. If you're lucky...get in and up to see the amazing view from the 22nd floor patio.
