Copenhagen is the capital and most populous city of Denmark. As of 1 January 2020, the city had a population of 794,128 with 632,340 in Copenhagen Municipality, 104,305 in Frederiksberg Municipality, 42,989 in Tårnby Municipality, and 14,494 in Dragør Municipality. It forms the core of the wider urban area of Copenhagen (population 1,330,993) and the Copenhagen metropolitan area (population 2,057,142). Copenhagen is situated on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand; another portion of the city is located on Amager, and it is separated from Malmö, Sweden, by the strait of Øresund. The Øresund Bridge connects the two cities by rail and road. #holidayvacation#wintergetaway#staycation#tripinspired#happynewyear

Lovely place to visit and walk around! I was especially excited to see the little mermaid but the architecture, and food are fabulous too! #awesomepic

Copenhagen is probably one of the few big cities where I would live. When I spent a weekend last February I had the chance to enjoy its friendly people, its great food and the fact you can cross the city by foot or bike in just less than an hour (also don’t forget that public transportation works great and smoothly). After my arrival, I ran to the picturesque canal of Nyhavn, one of Copenhagen’s most iconic spots. It’s truly a lovely place full of colored houses with plenty of cafes and restaurants where you can have breakfast or dine. Then I rented an electric scooter to visit the neighborhoods of Østerbro and Nørrebro: the latter is known for the amazingly cool Superkilen, a public park designed to bring refugees and locals together, promoting tolerance. Not far from there, a must see: the Grundtvigs Kirke, an incredible example of impressionist architecture. Other notable spots are the super cool Rundetaarn tower (very cheap to visit), Magstræde, Rosenborg and Amalienborg palaces, Tivoli Gardens and the Botanic Garden. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to explore the whole city, but I’m already planning a longer, second trip! #denmark #copenhagen #europe #travel #weekend #awesomepic

The Nordic countries have always attracted me but I hadn't been there yet because of the cold. If you are like me, you should go there in May to take advantage of a more pleasant weather and to discover the city on foot. Copenhagen is a very cute city that can be visited in at least 3 days. I strongly advise you to take a walk in the streets of the historical center, to go to the Nyhavn Harbour at different times of the day as I did, at sunrise, during the day and at sunset. Moreover it is very pleasant to go there to have a drink or eat a waffle because it is very lively. If you go there in April/May and want to see cherry blossoms, go to St Alban's Church and also to Rosenborg Castle Park. At the end of the day the light is beautiful. There are two things not to be missed: the free district of Christiana which does not depend on the city, the inhabitants live in total autonomy, it is quite surprising. The other thing to do if you have a little more time is to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. You will have to take the train to get there and expect a good half day. I also really liked the Royal Library, whose facade is really splendid, especially in the spring. #awesomepic #couplestrip #instagramworthydestinations #springholiday

Nyhavn
Copenhagen is an extremely family friendly city full of museums, cute restaurants, colourful streets, and pretty scenery. Rent a bike and ride along the canals as a family before stopping for a fun snack. We loved the vibrant buildings in Nyhavn where the canal is lined with mouthwatering restaurants and pretty boats. Our kids couldn't get enough of the famous chocolate covered waffles and we loved sitting outdoors for a refreshing drink. After a pretty walk along the water we came across the original The Little Mermaid Statue which was the ideal spot to snap a few memorable photos. Make sure to head to Torvehallerne to explore the local food stalls serving delicious fare and visit one of the many epic playgrounds perfect for little ones to jump, climb, and play with locals. A truly beautiful and safe city that is extremely child friendly and fun.

Copenhagen has my heart. I absolutely LOVED this beautiful city. The famous Nyhavn is the perfect place to people watch. Could have spent all day there!
The Wondering Dreamer
This is not just Copenhagen, but it is a state in the town. The neighborhood of Cristiania is definitely different place than Copenhagen even it is located at the middle of Copenhagen. There are different laws that are valid here. Because of this when you enter at the gate is written down "Welcome to Cristiania" and on the other side "Welcome to the EU". It is something like s small autonomy. #happynewyear

#copenhagen #denmark Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark. When I visited it the weather was not very good but I still enjoyed my stay. Even very cold the city offers plenty of options to heat up. There was hot wine and Christmas lights also. #happynewyear #happynewyear

Summer July 2019. In Copenhagen you will find a wide range of entertainment, culture and shopping. You can enjoy a continental atmosphere and visit the classic destinations. I walked and biked a lot. Feel so safe but it was cold, even in Summer 😁 #merrychristmas #merrychristmas
