Quiet, solemn, and opened early
I only had an overnight in Copenhagen so I was lucky to see the Cathedral opened before 8 am. A very solemn place that was quite welcomed after a walk in the rain to view the church.
Positive Aspects
There is no entrance fee. The statues of Jesus' apostles by the famous sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen are splendid. The reliefs behind the altar are well decorated. The ambience is tranquil.
Book your visit ahead
Famous church in Christianshavn. The view from the tower is the hot spot but you need to book your timeslot ahead, or you may not get access. Internally it is nothing special.
A splendid church
This church is located near Amalienborg castle. It is somewhat out of the way and not as extravagant as many other churches yet it has a charm of its own. Inside the church, some of the pews face each...
Love it
Church of Our Lady at Night was one of my favorite experiences in Copenhagen. The music and the overall experience is a must try.
