Today from the "ten thousand pits" front walk, the weather is high and fresh. Opposite is the SAS building. Walk along Vesterbrogade Avenue to the City Hall. On the right hand side, go through Hard-Rock Bar and Tivol Playground, then through Andersen Avenue to the City Hall Square. We looked ahead at the statue of Andersen situated on the side of the city hall. He was wearing a hat, holding a book in his right hand, gently holding a walking stick in his left hand, looking sideways at the distance, as if he was conceiving a new fairy tale. Behind the sculpture is an endless avenue of trees. When we take pictures, we lean carefully on one side for fear of disturbing the writer's reverie.
