The Pushkin Museum In Russia there are many Pushkin Museums. Torzhok one such museum that is not big. This is because Pushkin once passed by and stopped there on the imperial road from Saint Petersburg to Moscow, so that is why the museum exists. Aside from this, it’s a significant museum that seeks to restore the past, allowing visitors to come close to the spirit of that time. Guides dress head to toe in period clothing, and also transform the space into how it was in the past. Pushkin wrote a great quantity of poems while on the imperial road. The older women who was our guide told us many stories about Pushkin’s emotions. Although Chinese and Russians do not look alike at all, and speak languages that are completely different, the link between the 2 is illustrated by what I discovered when the local Russian people told me there was once a Chinese person who read Pushkin’s handwritten poetry with absolutely no accent in Russian at the museum. In summer on the Volga River, singing in the outskirts of Moscow, this to me represents the fine and graceful relationship between the 2 countries - standing together and unshakable. Many oil paintings of Russian scenery were displayed in the museum. The most interesting thing was being invited to change my clothes and wear the black attire of a gentleman. In the blink of an eye I felt myself transported to the middle ages! Many souvenirs were available at the museum exit. These included a collection of Pushkin poetry that wasn’t small enough to be pocket-sized. On each page there were approximately 3-4 lines of small text. Bringing this book along to read on the imperial road was an extremely satisfying experience.
