I am a Christian and have not visited other Guanyin statues. When I arrived this time, it was just because my friend saw that this was a scenic spot. The statue of Guanyin can be seen clearly on the beach of My Khe, and there is not much to see around the statue of Guanyin, just a lot of trees, but a little beach can still be seen. The whole is actually quite touristic. For example, you can see many tourist buses and small cars selling snow bars. Da Nang was often hit by typhoons before, but after this Guanyin was built, it was rarely hit. Therefore, the local people admire this Guanyin statue very much and regard it as the patron saint of the existing Hong Kong.
The statue of Guanyin in Danang is an iconic place on the Camellia Peninsula in Da Nang. The statue of Guanyin is located in Lingying Temple on the Camellia Peninsula. It can be seen from the location of My Khe Beach in Da Nang. Facing the sea, you can see the snow-white Guanyin statue during the day. It is also very conspicuous under the light at night. Below the Guanyin statue is a temple, you can go in and worship.
This statue and pagoda can be seen for miles. She is amazingly beautiful up close. The entire garden around her is worth visiting.
We visited the area in the evening, just a few minutes before the sun began to set. The lady Buddha statue was sublime with her peaceful countenance. The views from across the statue are breathtaking. We nearly missed going there, but decided last minute to visit it. It was well worth the effort and highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful and serene experience.
The most famous on the peninsula is the Lingying Temple located on the southern mountainside. There is a tall white jade Guanyin Bodhisattva in Southeast Asia, which is 65 meters high. The temple does not accept tickets, of course you can donate a little incense money. In addition to burning incense and worshiping Buddha, Lingying Temple can also overlook the beautiful scenery of Da Nang city and the bay.
