You may thought that you really have to get ready when climbing the highest peak, but you can be on the top without sweat. However, the peak has a very nice view and you really cannot feel the heat of the sun because it is quite cold. It is really amazing to be on the top but scary at the same time because there are no railings around it and falling is likely to happen if you are not careful. It will just take around 10 mins hike to get to the top because most of you need to do is just ride on a motorcycle or in the car. So do not expect that it is really an adventurous climb because it is not.
We wanted to come to this place from the resort hotel in Morebor. However, it seems that most service providers as well as local guides only offer motorcycle round trips (about 1000 pesos / parks). We don't like the way it takes 1.5 hours to get from Molbor to Osmina Peak in the back of the motorcycle. We asked around if there was a car to get here, but nobody seemed to offer this service. Our ideal one was to ride the jeepney but charged us a lot of money to guide us. So I think it's worth it to come here and enjoy the scenery, but only if you are willing to experience more than 1 hour of bumps on the motorcycle in Morebor.
A relaxing mountain in Dalagey, my friends and I decided to climb a mountain to ease the pressure of working in the city. Our conquest was for the Osmena Peak. From the Southbus terminal, we took the ceres bus and spent 150P on the Cebu Dagt Highway. From the National Highway, we took the motorcycle to Mantalungon at Osmana Peak for a ticket price of only 100 Philippine pesos. Located at 1013 m above sea level, Cebu is one of the highest local mountains. In Cebu Island's case, it is located near Camosan Falls and Mo Alboa, the actual climb is not that difficult and can be done easily in reasonable weather. At the top, you can enjoy magnificent views and great photo opportunities. If the sky is clear, you may see some landscapes around you. The mountain here is more showy than the type of overlapping in the country. Not very high altitude and the view is relatively not particularly open, although the views are great in the weather and the coast and blue sea are far away. The sunrise and sunset may add another fascinating color to the view, but we were not there during this period. Some people choose to camp overnight to experience this. Along the way, you may see local farmers packing up all kinds of crops in the fields. Like all other tourist attractions, there is a small shop with souvenirs selling some local Filipino specialties and handicrafts. There is no need to rush up and down to the low elevation, just keep your walking pace comfortable. Tips: 1. Opening hours: Saturday to Thursday: 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. 2. The cost of climbing is 200P, and wearing comfortable sneakers is enough.
Osmanna Peak has become one of the most beautiful scenic spots in southern Cebu. You will see beautiful scenery along the way and see the peaks on the village road. When I stand at the top of Osmanna, I feel there are higher peaks.
