What people are saying:

The monument is designed in a hanging, quadrilateral shape, with only a black marble on the interior floor engraved with the name of Kennedy in platinum. The designer of the monument Philip Johnson successfully conveyed his respect for the president: "a place of quiet refuge, an enclosed place of thought and contemplation separated from the city around, but near the sky and earth."

Additional Information

The Kennedy Memorial Square was built to commemorate the former US President John F. Kennedy who has been assassinated in Dallas. It is an outdoor plaza, and the entire plaza makes people feel solemn. To commemorate President Kennedy, the house where the assassin had hidden was built into the Kennedy Memorial Hall. On the asphalt road to the south of the hall, a X mark was painted in white to record the location of the president's assassination.
