Showa Shinzhan Bear ranch is a place to view many big brown bears. There are vending machines around the park where one can purchase to feed the bears. Not the friendliest animal that you can pat or touch, you will be able to watch their daily activity from top down view. I guess now the bears are more protected that letting them roaming outside . worth visiting if you are going to the Mount Usu next to it via Usuzan Ropeway as side trip.#bucketlistreboot

#bucketlistreboot Lake Toya Cruise and pier I am impressed with the cool surrounding. Superb for picture . The cruise took around 1 hour. Taking in afternoon of a winter is so chilling but it’s good feel. I was told by locals that this lake will not be frozen because of volcano nearby. The cruise boats run to the middle of the lake and the four islands that make up Nakajima. Passenger can look out at Mt. Yotei, Showa Shinzan and Mt. Usu and the magnificent surrounding countryside. As it’s winter time, I don’t get to take another cruise which should have fireworks but this is good for me. Note that there is cafe in the cruise . A coffee while witness the view in chilling weather. Relaxing

#bucketlistreboot Niseko Annupuri Kokusai Ski Area, Hokkaido , Japan Impressive amount of snow. There are many ski resorts in Niseko. I stopped at Abuta because that’s where the public bus stopped . Took a ride from Sapporo station -Hakodate Line Local towards Otaru - stop at Otaru Station Hakodate Line Local towards Kutchan- Kutchan station followed by Hakodate Line Local towards Rankoshi to Niseko station . Take pictures and then wait for local bus to Niseko Annupuri. Make sure you have a JR pass to do this. As I am doing a day trip , I don’t mind the multiple stops. as the train rides itself is already considered a good journey .
