Conwy Moments: Through Travelers' Eyes

Post
🏴 ZONE 08 — WALES

Castles, small towns, mountains, and romantic coastlines 🏰🏔️🌊

From Scotland, we continue to Wales 🇬🇧✨ A land with a different kind of charm than England and Scotland, featuring medieval castles, mountains, coastlines, and charming little villages.

🏙️ Cardiff
The capital of Wales. Easy to explore on foot, with Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay, museums, and restaurants – perfect for a relaxing start to your trip.

🏰 Conwy
An ancient walled town with Conwy Castle as its highlight. Walking along the city walls offers views of the castle, the old town, and the river – a truly step back in time.

🏔️ Eryri (Snowdonia)
A must-have natural area for your list ⛰️ Home to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales, along with valleys, lakes, and beautiful hiking trails.

🌿 Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)
Suitable for nature lovers and those who appreciate mountain views. It features peaks, valleys, caves, and vast rural areas – another area offering diverse travel styles.

🌊 Pembrokeshire
The west coast of Wales is stunning, with cliffs, small bays, sandy beaches, and marine life 🐬. It's home to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a national park specifically focused on coastal areas.

🎨 Tenby
A colorful seaside town with pastel-toned houses, a harbor, and sandy beaches. Perfect for a relaxing stroll, especially in the morning or evening.

🏘️ Portmeirion
A quirky Italian-style village by the water, with pastel-colored buildings and beautiful gardens, giving it a unique feel unlike any other town in Wales.

🚆 Transportation
Cardiff is easily accessible by train, while North Wales and Eryri have many train and bus connections. However, if you want to visit many natural attractions in one trip, renting a car is more convenient.

🌸 Best Time to Visit
May–September is ideal for outdoor activities and coastal areas, while autumn is perfect for those who prefer mountains and a quiet atmosphere 🍂

💡 Recommendation: If you have 6–8 days, try planning a trip to
Cardiff → Brecon → Pembrokeshire → Tenby → Portmeirion → Eryri → Conwy
This will allow you to experience cities, castles, mountains, and the sea all in one trip.

Wales is a small country with so much to offer – it's peaceful, romantic, and boasts unspoiled natural beauty 💚🏴
