118***02I personally think that the road to Hana is not as good as it is advertised online. Many bridges and many bends will cause motion sickness. If there are not many schedules on Maui, it is recommended to give up. However, Ho’okipa Beach Park, which is about 10 kilometers away from Kahului Airport, is highly recommended (10-14 is best).
齐步走123There are not many people on a beach, but the scenery is particularly beautiful. It may be because the Kaanapali Beach is basically surrounded by high-end resorts and hotels. There are relatively few tourists, but the beach is very good and the sea water is very good. clear
猪简At two o'clock in the morning local time in Hawaii, I put on all the long and short clothes that I could wear, and started the journey of going out in the middle of the night for the first time [covering my face] In fact, how do I say this trip is not planned in advance. Originally, when we rented a car, the little brother fudged us to change the four-wheel drive to recommend us to this Hale Kalera National Park. In the end, I said that we would not go and resolutely not to change. The clerk expressed regret in his heart that the tourist was too dishonest. The next night I arrived there was a jet lag and couldn't sleep, and the night after the typhoon flood was peaceful. The next day must be a good day. We both discussed whether we should go to this extinct volcano in the early morning to watch the sun. So I woke up at two o’clock. Before I left, I checked the official website of this park. Okay, I don’t know, I was almost impulsive to the ditch... I saw a new sunrise in this national park in January last year. According to the policy, there is a limit of 150 vehicles per day, of which only 30 are for tourists who make a temporary reservation two days in advance. Vehicles without an advance reservation will not be accepted. Looking back at Ctrip's comments again, okay, all the posts that saw the sunrise are from before December 2016, and the later dates are tourists visiting during the day. Almost! Almost! Anyway, I was energetic, so we went to the official website in the middle of the night to find a link to register and book a parking space for the next day. We spent a five-dollar reservation fee and turned back to the park entrance to pay another 25 dollars. After getting it done, I fell asleep in an instant...In the early morning of the day, I set off as scheduled. The kid basically wears clothes to sleep, sleeps in the car, sleeps to make the safety seat... We are excited and nervous on the island's basically unmanned highway... After entering the mountain road, we experienced the forest area, In the wilderness area and cliff section, through the clouds and seeing the sea of stars, the elevation gradually reached 3,055 meters. I drove two-thirds of the way and saw a big LED electronic sign "NO RESERVATION, TURN BACK" on the side of the road... My heart said, if I didn't do my homework, it wouldn't be ruined. Passing through two parking lots all the way, when we reached the highest point of the mountain, there were already five or six vehicles that we had arrived one step ahead. The small parking lot at the highest point seemed to park up to 20 vehicles. If this doesn't come early, I really don't want to wait. Everyone is waking up, okay, after writing this article, I have to take a break. The wind is screaming and the car is blowing straight... 06:15 The sun is coming out, I hope I can see the legendary soul purification agent The shocking sunrise of human rebirth. When the sunrise came, heavy fog + strong wind + showers [covered face][covered face][covered face] Okay! This experience is amazing! It is estimated that the sunset will not be consumed... This is the regrettable beauty in the legend... Next time... It is impossible. Disappointed down the mountain, planning to go back to the house, alas, I can only go to the hotel on rainy days... But when I walked, I found that only the top of the mountain was rainy! Just a little bit lower altitude, you will see the sun! Stop and grab the tail of the beautiful scenery! Fortunately to see strange volcanic clouds and countless crystal rainbows in all directions! Yes, you can watch the rainbow when it rains! So, you lose some but always gain some again. This is called balance! Contented!
If you like riding the wave back and forth, this is a great beach! Kids seem to love it! It’s somewhat small and crescent shaped, and steeper then a lot of the beaches, but that’s what makes it fun riding the waves. If it’s anywhere near high tide, beware, the waves will come all the way to the top of the beach and wash your belongings away! This beach is perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful ocean. It does get extremely crowded and because of its small size, fills up very quickly. Get there early to get a good spot and if you want shade. This was the perfect beach to get married at. Our resort was right on the beach and we had a dinner under the stars reservation at the SeaHouse Restaurant right on the other side of the beach. The amazing sunset, sand on our toes, the sound of waves crashing, it is a magical sight to see. Plus, on our free days, spending time at the beach was always a fun time. Waves weren't too strong but they definitely kept coming. Sea life was pretty as well. Can't wait to go back and relive our memories!
Banyan Tree Courtyard is a truly lovely place to sit, relax and take a moment to enjoy history and aloha. After shopping at the nearby shops, enjoying the nearby museums, and eating to your heart's content at the plethora of nearby restaurants such as Kimo's and Top Cat, the courtyard is an excellent place to stop, relax, and digest your meal. And please people, this tree is a national treasure so please follow the posted rules and don't let your kids climb, swing, damage or damage the tree in any way. This is the only banyan tree in the world that expands sideways to form a canopy like a giant umbrella. Sitting under the canopy of this giant tree while watching Caucasians milling about is really cool. There are many handicraft sellers in this park. Take photos with this tree background is really beautiful.
We did this last week with our teen boys. Beautiful, easy hike, mostly paved or easy paths. Only a short part is rocky. Take water as there is no shade and go early to beat the crowds and get parking. Maui is mobbed with tourists now as you will see on some of the beaches you pass on this hike.Nice seaside trail. Easy walking. Goes by Kapalua Bay, the Montage Hotel, and the Ironwoods area and beach. Little offshoot trail goes out on Hawea Point. Too short and too many people for it to warrant 5 stars, but a nice walk.you can make this leisurely or make it a workout. the views all along the way are great. you will likely see sea turtles along the way also. parts are sand, gravel, and as you get closer to the Ritz property there is a boardwalk that turns into a paved path. I walked this- less than 2 miles from Napili Kai to Fleming Beach and also ran it which was challenging. I did it 3 days in a row and never once grew tired of it.
I stayed at the Hyatt in July.
As others have posted, the hotel has been renovated recently. The grounds, exterior, interior, and rooms are beautiful. We stayed in an ocean front room in the main building on the 18th floor with two queen-sized beds and it provided plenty of space for us. The balcony was smaller than I expected, but the view was amazing. So nice to hear the ocean waves. And even though you could hear noise from the pool, it wasn't overwhelming.
Everyone has their own threshold of what is a dealbreaker on a vacation. I found that while the room rate was expensive, it was worth it. Bottom line is that I would stay here again.
the beds--they were so comfortable
housekeeping--they did an excellent job every day. They really cleaned the room well and were willing to provide extra towels
coffee in the room--delicious. Some nice teas, too.
bathroom--huge bathroom area with plenty of space to store clothing.
interior lighting in the room makes it easy to get up in the middle of the night if you need to use the bathroom.
Don't forget that there is storage under the beds. I didn't realize this until I read other reviews.
Japengo--excellent. Wonderful ambiance
Swan Court--It was a bit expensive (I think breakfast is $30person) but the food is plentiful and good
Umalu--offers decent pub/lunch offerings. Many have criticized the quality. I thought food was more creative at other restaurants, but the drinks were good and the service was excellent.
Son'z--pretty good, but there's better dining to be had on Maui.
Hawaii coffee--you can order your coffee ahead of time and avoid the long lines in the morning.
While the beach is narrow, I still found there was plenty of space to place a beach chair or a towel and enjoy swimming and snorkeling. And I actually preferred this stretch of beach to the beach in front of the Westin where so many snorkeling tours depart from. It was peaceful in front of the Hyatt.
It was lovely to see
Aloha, my recent experience at Luana for a special occasion was nothing short of incredible. My partner and I visited the lounge to celebrate his birthday. The atmosphere was delightful. The live music and hula set the mood for a classic sunset experience in paradise.
Chef Royden was extremely attentive, he took time to chat with us about our preferences. His menu suggestions were spot on. Chef Pang stopped by for a quick visit. It made our experience that much more special. Mahalo Chef. The oysters were delicious, the poke bowl was to die for, the Kauai prawns were ‘oh so’ tasty… needless to say we love food and enjoyed every single bite.
As local residents, it’s not always easy to find a great table and experience genuine and authentic Aloha. The people at Kea Lani truly embody the values of the islands, and it shows. We felt right at home.
We finished our visit with an espresso martini at Ko bar. Nick was very engaged and helped us end our evening on a high note. We are still talking about the banana brown butter cake 2 weeks after the fact.
Just a quick constructive note - Crystal our server at Luana forgot to drop waters after we requested twice. Being proactive in noticing empty glasses, instead of waiting for us to flag for attention could have been better. It was busy, we understand. Still, attention to these details will only elevate the experience.
Thank you for a great time.
Beautiful beach with trails that are about 5 miles long. The water is warm and great for snorkeling and scuba diving. And of course, people are watching. Picnic tables and toilets are available. Parking is limited so arrive early. There is a small craft exhibition on the grounds of one of the hotels just off the beach which is within walking distance.Entering the beach at Whaler's Village (lots of shops and restaurants). Actually saw a whale while cruising the shoreline. Lahaina has a great public transport system (buses) that stop at many places including Whaler's Village. All day pass for $4 can't be beat.
Home to around 30 miles of beaches, Maui is a hidden gem in Hawaii not many know of. This place is one of the best holiday destinations in the world, where you can enjoy and live life at your own pace. As far as the reasons are concerned, there are plenty floating online. But if a paradise is all you seek, there’s nothing else that you need to be convinced that it’s one of the best summer holiday destinations in the world.

The sunset here is amazing! #urbanexplorer #summervacation
Hamoa Beach Vacation Paradise
The black sand of Hamoa Beach is one of the best
beaches on Maui. The water isn’t too rough, there
are no rocks in the surf, the crowds are minimal,
and the nearby scenery is amazing. For a beach
vacation, Hamoa Beach is tough to beat.
Hamoa Beach is about a five to ten minute drive
from the town of Hana. The drive is easy to make,
with lots of great scenery along the way. There
isn’t a parking lot, so you’ll need to park on
the side of the road and walk down the steps to
the beach. Parking isn’t normally a problem
because the beach is never crowded..
