icqpupTianmu Temple is located on a small terrace on the north bank of the Xiangjiang River outside Hue. Unlike China, the tower of Tianmu Temple is in front of the mountain gate. Ascending the steep stone steps from the road along the river, you can see the tower, and then the temple buildings and courtyards. The famous Shi Guangde incident in South Vietnam. The blue car that Shi Guangde took from Hue to Saigon is now displayed in Tianmu Temple. Tianmu Temple is one of the few free attractions in Hue.
icqpupThe Khai Dinh Mausoleum is the smallest among the Hue imperial tombs, but it is undoubtedly the most distinctive one: the Kh Dinh Mausoleum is relatively modern, so the architectural style is also a combination of Chinese and Western styles, which has a taste of Yuanmingyuan architecture, while other imperial tombs Basically Chinese style.
There are more tourists here than Tu Duc Tomb, especially tourist groups like to bring it here. The imperial tombs are laid out on the mountain, with steep steps going up, and stone figures stand on both sides of the platform on the first floor, which are the check-in points for internet celebrities. Going up is the main building. The mausoleum inside the main building is even more gorgeous and extraordinary, and the large amount of mosaic art makes people linger. In the small hall next to the mausoleum, there are some art, clocks, swords, etc. sent by the French, reflecting the historical trend of the king and the country at that time.
You can buy a package ticket with the Hue Palace, which is cheaper than visiting it alone.
我自独行独行客Haiyunfeng is the natural boundary between Huihua and Dagang. Two tungsten towers are historic sites. The bricks have been weathered and look ragged. It witness the Vietnam experience. The scenery is majestic and poetic. Fengling is full of sea, and the four seasons are surrounded by mountains.
icqpupNot to mention the Meridian Gate of the Hue Palace, except for the size of the Meridian Gate, it looks almost the same as the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing. It lacks majesty and oppression and is very compact.
The Meridian Gate faces the Big Banner Tower, and the ticket gate is located at a side gate of the Meridian Gate, facing the Hall of Supreme Harmony.
The best photography angle is diagonally opposite the moat. The moat reflects the reflection of the Meridian Gate, which is very beautiful.

My wife and I had booked at 17-day trip through Vietnam and Cambodia with G-Adventures and the town of Hue was our third location visited. Although our G-Adventures guide was excellent, local guides were provided at every stop on our tour, including Hue. I’d recommend having a guide if you want to get the best from your Imperial Citadel experience as, otherwise, you would be left wandering around blindly trying to find all the relevant history for yourself.
The tour was excellent and very interesting, and the most impressive place to visit near Hue, though I don’t think it merits the five-star reviews that some have given it. Each to his/her own I suppose, and that’s the beauty of travelling, in that we all see things from different perspectives. As I said though, definitely look to go with a guide or, at the very least, rent one of the portable audio guides.
"Royal Citadel" was pretty much damaged during the Vietnam War and from its 160 buildings, only a dozen survived. It is a shaddow of what it once was, but still beautiful and deserving a visit by all those traveling in and around Huê, a Unesco appointed, in 1993, "World Heritage Site"! Enjoy!
very nice restaurant in the center of Hue , I come for a charity trip and it’s very good to find out this restaurant. I really enjoy the food and the staff was so helpful. I will come to come back as soon as possible!
Ever wanted to hop in the mouth of a dragon? Well you can at this abandoned waterpark located in Hue, Vietnam!
It’s a bit of a trek to get here but the grounds are absolutely massive and you can explore for hours!
The original plan was for this to be Vietnam’s largest theme park but the project got scrapped a few years ago for unknown reasons. Today it’s a cool place for in the know tourists to explore for a small fee to the guard on duty 😉
