Definitely a must see when you go to Kwazulu Natal South Africa. Perfect for that morning jog or for romantic stroll. You can get excellent views and food at the Oyster Box Hotel nearby.
You can rent a car and drive here by yourself , this is much more cost effective than taking a taxi here.
great location , views and service
#tripaway amazing trip to Durban !! amazing atmosphere and great food.
I went with friends the top of Tugela falls via the chain ladder. The trek is difficult and a bit dangerous, towards the end one will also have to climb a chain ladder approximately 200 m in height, once you reach the top then walk for about half an hour along the stream, get a good place near the flowing water and camp for the night. There is a hut near the falls but it is advisable not to use it as a lot of people have disposed stuff inside the hut.
Keep warm clothing as it is really cold up there.
It is advisable to take a guide for people who are going for the first time, a guide can be hired from the Sentinel Car Parking.
Try going on a full moon night, you will never forget that night, it is one of the most beautiful nights I have ever experienced.
My second visit to U-Shaka Marine World, but my first visit after it was revamp! This is so much fun for the whole family as it caters to young and old! Lots to see and lots to do! There are wide range of shops, restaurants and other interesting sites-seeing things to do!
The Dolphin Show is a definite must see and sell as the Aquarium!
There are water slides and picnic spots! A real treat for the entire family!
Even though it was winter we enjoyed a lovely stroll on the beach. People were swimming and having a fun time. We did not swim as we planned to do other things on this day. I would highly definitely recommend a swim in lukewarm Indian Ocean waters.
Moses Mabhidha stadium
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively around the world and done many tours. This stadium tour I cannot stress enough how good it is. From showing the locker rooms, showers, treatment facilities to the foyer where the largest bead work in the world is displayed, it has you intrigued and fascinated through out. Even all the way up into the stands to where the Press rooms are located to even where the signatories and heads of state sit, this tour is well conducted. My overall opinion is that if you ever visit Durban then this tour should be at the top of your list.
had the best experience possible! The meeting with the Zulu Oracle was remarkable and exciting and it has been the highlight of my trip so far. Also, my tour guide, Nozepho, was the so kind, fun, educated, and pleasant to be around. She made the experience even better, and I would recommend her to everyone!Ussually not safe
kwa muhle museum
ts a nice museum but I wish they had more history to offer. I must say it gives a good insight about the life and times of workers and how they lived in the society. Visit if you must as its a small museum and won't take too long
