This fantasy like place in Greece is Meteora. The huge rocky towers that have Churches and Monasteries on the top. There are six monasteries that are still in use today; Great Meteoron, Varlaam, Roussanau, Holy Trinity, St. Stephen, and St. Nikolas Anapavsas. It is possible to visit them all but there is an entrance fee of about 3 to 5€ each. It is possible to hike between them through the gorges and paths below the rock towers. This makes for abit more active day and may actually have to split up between two days. The forests are full of birds, the odd escaped goat, and tiny turtles.
To get to Meteora the main city is Kalambaka but there are two towns Kastraki or Kalambaba to stay in or eat. Kalambaka is the larger and Kastraki is the quieter.
I stayed in Kalamaba at Psammities (great studio apartments with a floor to ceiling window view of the towers. It is a five minute walk into Kalambaka). In Kalambaka I highly recommend, the Meteora Gkertsou Family restaurant. The food was delicious and the service fantastic!
Kastraki is smaller but the main plaza is directly under the massive rock towers. I ate dinner at the Taverna Bakaliarakia, which had a festive atmosphere and this made the evening super fun and memorable!
This main thing is that Meteora is absolutely incredible and unique!

Staying stuck in a single routine for too long can easily lead to rigid thinking, habitual overthinking, and mood swings, forgetting to view daily changes with an open mind. A short trip away from familiar surroundings allowed me to step into unfamiliar crowds and everyday life. Amidst the orderly growth of all things and the earnestness of people living their lives, I broadened my horizons, relaxed my mind, and gained a gentle strength to move forward. This trip was undertaken with a relaxed and open mind, not to pursue pleasure, but simply to adjust my state of mind. In the slower pace of life in a different place, I rediscovered the warmth and vitality of life. The morning light was warm and bright, the streets gradually bustling. Citizens carefully selected their groceries, walking leisurely, while shopkeepers focused on preparing meals and warmly greeted customers. The streets were orderly and full of a vibrant and warm atmosphere of life. I strolled through the streets, savoring the local home-style flavors, the simple and authentic taste of everyday life, which soothed my mood, calmed my mind, and brought a sense of peace and tranquility to my heart. Wandering the streets by day, I quietly observed the myriad aspects of life. Everyone was striving to live and moving forward gently within their own paths, calmly accumulating their own little moments of beauty. I observed attentively, pausing at will, letting go of preconceived notions and narrow-mindedness, embracing change and the everyday with a more open mind. As evening gently descended, the gentle glow of cooking fires filled the streets, and a steaming dinner healed my weary body and soul, leaving my mind increasingly peaceful and clear. This journey made me deeply realize that everyone has their own rhythm and their own time to blossom. There's no need for anxious comparisons or excessive internal conflict. Maintaining a calm mindset, steady steps, and moving towards the light, slowly settling down and growing within one's own rhythm—that is the most beautiful state of life. As Hesse once said, "Every peaceful pause is for a better journey ahead."
