Joo Chiat is a super cool neighborhood to hang out in #singapore
It is lined with shophouses some of which are historical and at the edges of the neighborhood lies swanky new malls.
You can find everything you want there, especially food, ranging from local hawker fare to western meals to perankan like chilli padi, Eurasian like quentins to Thai to Indian etc etc, not to mention so many cafes and bakeries and pubs that sprung up in this neighborhood.
if food is not your thing, there are plenty of independent gyms, yoga studios, Martial arts studios there as well for you to keep fit.
no train lines run there at the moment so the easiest way is to take a car or bus there.
using the Singapore Rediscovers voucher to buy the ticket to Flower Dome. first time visit there and quite disappointed as I visited at a wrong timing, just missed the cherry blossom season and there is no other exhibition available in the dome.
impressed by the man-made waterfall when entering the dome, fully air-conditioning environment, flowers are mostly typical tropical species and no wow effect.
there is always promotion available, especially for mix and match ticket for cloud forest, flower dome and ocbc skyway. suggest to check the timing or exhibition before purchase the ticket.
Hotel Michael is one of RWS Hotel in Sentosa, Singapore. A good location near to attractions like S.E.A Aquarium, Universal Studio Singapore, Trick Eyes Museum, Royal Albatross Luxury Tall Ship and numbers of good restaurants.
Monorail Station (Resort World Station) and Underground Bus Interchange are quite nearby, so you have no worries on getting around Sentosa.
Check-In pretty smooth. Got myself check-in early at 2pm 🙂. Normal check-in at 3pm.
Room is superb clean. The only flaws is the TV channel loading is pretty slow. Room with view of Crockford Tower and Cable Car. (Hint: My room rumber is 1028, ideal for couples, quiet, non-smoking).
Swimming Pool is quite decent size. They also do have Jacuzzi.
Overall i enjoy my staycay 3D2N at RWS Hotel Michael!
