E23***71I really like Senate Square. It's arguably the most iconic place in Helsinki and it's a lovely square that I never get tired of visiting. The square does host different events, like a Christmas market during the winter season. The cathedral at the top is opened, but I think the exterior is more stunning than it's interior. The steps leading to the cathedral is also a great place to chill and relax. Head on over if you're in the city.
E33***72A refreshing design from the usual European churches/cathedral. This church is carved out from a rock and its unique UFO exterior design is a must see for architecture buffs! Doesn’t take long - about 30mins to explore and right in town.
关裕年guanyunianHelsinki, near the Baltic Sea, is beautiful and has unparalleled geographical advantage, land can reach St. Petersburg, Russia, and Moscow, so Finland is a very important country in Europe, as many world wars have seen Finland important.
E31***18This is not a fancy train station but it is perfectly located in the city center and has all the amenities you would want, including cafes and a pub. Check out the food trucks around the station on weekends.
魔女三号babykikileeThis open-air market is a 5-minute walk south from Helsinki Cathedral. This is the largest open-air free market in Helsinki and one of the most traditional markets in Finland. Here is a free trade market opened all year round. Several tents are set up in the open air to sell some Finnish specialty goods. Since it is winter and the weather is relatively cold, there are not many people here, so it seems a bit deserted.
Helen DixonEven with the prehistoric exhibits under renovation, the Medieval and traditional folkway areas were wonderful. Beautiful paintings of scenes from the Kalevala on the ceiling of the lobby. Small cafe and gift shops as well! We went for free on Helsinki Day but it's also free for Museum Card holders and discounted for students.

Helsinki, capital of Finland, also the most populous city of Finland. Helsinki is within close distance with Estonia, Stockholm and Saint Petersburg, it can be accessed via Baltic Sea, and has close historical ties with these three countries.

Ateneum is an art museum in Helsinki, Finland and one of the three museums forming the Finnish National Gallery. It is located in the centre of Helsinki on the south side of Rautatientori square close to Helsinki Central railway station. It has the biggest collections of classical art in Finland. Before 1991 the Ateneum building also housed the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts and University of Art and Design Helsinki. The collections of Ateneum include Finnish art extensively from 18th-century rococo portraiture to the experimental art movements of the 20th century. The collections also include some 650 international works of art. One of them is Vincent van Gogh's Street in Auvers-sur-Oise (1890), which when deposited to Ateneum in 1903 made it the first museum collection in the world to include a Vincent van Gogh painting.Other notable works include Albert Edelfelt’s The Luxembourg Garden (1887), Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s Aino Triptych (1891), Eero Järnefelt’s Under the Yoke (Burning the Brushwood) (1893) and Hugo Simberg’s Wounded Angel (1903).
There was a very lucrative Valentine's Day offer for the Executive Suite. The price was just 209 euros instead of the normal price of 489 euros. The offer included a bottle of sparkling wine. The rate was flexible and breakfast inclusive.
Some suites have a jacuzzi. We asked for it and got it, this time on the 6th floor.
The suite is spacious and stylishly decorated. The famous Finnish interior designer Vertti Kivi has done a great job also here.
The only minus side was the views. They were not so special. At this hotel, only a few rooms have great views.
Suites and Business class rooms have complimentary room service breakfast. This time, it was possible to add omelets to it without an extra charge.
