Fuguo Temple

The first month of the Qing Tongzhi Jiazi year (1864) was destroyed in the army and fire, and Guangxu eight years (1882) was rebuilt. The original temple public housing five courtyards, the monk housing eighteen courtyards. Among them, the "Wufeng Building" (also known as "Fayun Pavilion") building is extremely exquisite and has a reputation at home and abroad. [2] About ten kilometers northwest of Lijiang, there is a beautiful scenery and simple folk customs of the town of Baisha ancient town. Behind the ancient town is a mountain called Zhishan, the mountains are green pine trees, the grass fans, wild flowers bloom, and birds stop. Between the ancient trees, an ancient temple Fuguo Temple can be seen vaguely.

Fuguo Temple, the Tibetan name of Aominan Zhuolin, means "the color of the sky is free forest". Located in Baisha Township, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, it was built in Wanli 29 years (1601) of Ming Dynasty. It was originally the home Temple of Tusi Mu. It was a Mahayana Buddhist monk living in the temple. The temple was named "Jiefanglin" and was later named "Fuguo Temple" by Zhu, the Ming Emperor. In the 18th year of Kangxi (AD 1679), it was converted into Tibetan Buddhism, the "Mother Temple" of the Five Great Monasteries in Lijiang, which is the largest Karma Kagyu Monastery in Yunnan. Successive Karmapa, Sri Tu Rinpoche and Jiacha Rinpoche all lived here in Xihong Dharma, where Buddhist Dharma flourished. The tenth Karmapa Induojie lived in Fuguo Temple for 30 years and was an important monastery of Karmaga. There are many sacred relics and relics about the activities of Karmapa in the temple.

The beautiful scenery of the temple may be the psychological reason. I feel the atmosphere here is different from other places. I like to come here to pray. I heard that the reputation here is good, but remember not to follow the temple interior.

About ten kilometers northwest of Lijiang, there is a beautiful and simple town, Baisha Ancient Town. Behind the ancient town, there is a mountain named Zhishan, in which pine trees are green, grass is fascinating, wild flowers blossom and birds stop to live. Between the ancient trees, there is an ancient temple, Fukuo Temple. The monastery "Cultural Revolution" was destroyed and has not yet been restored. Only the gates of "Wufeng Tower" and "Jiefanglin" were preserved and moved to Heilongtan Park in Lijiang City in 1979, which was listed as the key protected cultural relics in Yunnan Province for visitors to see.

Fukuo Temple can be reached by bike on the hill behind Baisha Ancient Town. If it is not self-driving, there is no need to charter a car at all. The temple is a typical combination of Tibetan Buddhism and local culture. Its architectural style is four corners and eight cornices. The very right arch structure is grand and solemn.

I found it accidentally on my way to Wenhai through Baisha Ancient Town. It should be Tibetan Buddhism, Jingbian, Blue Sky, Snow Mountain, Grassland, all factors are complete. The road is not easy to walk. Especially after the ancient town, a village closed the road and took a long time to get there.
