Shouguo Temple is located 80 kilometers north of the east bank of the Lancang River, Yunnan Province, and is 73 kilometers away from the county seat. The temple covers an area of 2,600 square meters. The temple sits east to west, and is composed of mountain gate, main hall and side hall into a courtyard. The main hall is the center of the entire temple building, with a triple-topped wooden structure, a total construction area of 403 square meters, a wide horizontal surface of 20.32 meters, and a deep vertical surface of 20.4 meters. The appearance is a Qing Dynasty-style building, and the interior decoration is Tibetan style. The main hall has dense arch decoration, with the Qing Dynasty Han style pavilion architectural style, and the Tibetan monastery of the algae well hall characteristics, in the decoration skills also blended into the Jianchuan wood carving skills. There are 10 existing murals in the hall, high 2.77 meters, wide 2.75-4.05 meters, painting the Tantric statue, King Konglix, etc. On May 25, 2006, Shouguo Temple, as an ancient building in the Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be included in the list of the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units nationwide.
