Like the giant panda and the golden monkey, the Eld's deer is also a first class national rare animal. It has a beautiful posture and resembles a sika deer, but its horn is forward-curved. Such an obvious feature makes it worth appreciation. Being good at running and jumping, an Eld's deer can jump over a 5-meter-wide gully when it is startled. The Eld's deer have sharp visual, auditory and olfactory senses. The male deer rely on the sound to search for a spouse while the female deer call their babies by the sound also. Even if they are one kilometer apart, the deer can hear each other. Standing in the watchtower of the reserve, you can see the deer playing.
