What people are saying:

If you want to experience the lively nightlife and bar culture, then TEMPLE BAR, located on the south bank of the Liffey River in the center of Dublin, is not to be missed. It retains the medieval street pattern, with narrow cobblestone streets as its biggest feature. Temple Bar represents the oldest and most iconic bar area in Dublin, some taverns even have a history of hundreds of years. This is a paradise for night owls, and because of the bar culture, Dublin was once rated as one of the top ten nightlife spots in the world. The famous Irish poet James Joyce said, "If you miss the bar, you miss Dublin."

    Robbery

2 pints of Carlsberg 15.60. No sympathy for anyone bleating about lack of business when charging this. Prices may have displayed but I didn't see any.

    Loved it!

Yes it’s full of tourists, yes it’s perhaps more expensive than other bars, and yes it’s not to be missed when in Dublin - it’s iconic! We had a very brief but enjoyable visit on a January afternoon a...

    Not genuine

Place is out to exploit tourists and drunks. Not a real Irish pub. If you are a tourist or visitor to Ireland or dublin avoid this one.

Additional Information

Introduction

The name of the Temple Bar makes many people mistakenly think that it is a bar. In fact, it refers to an area in the center of Dublin. This is the hinterland of Dublin's nightlife. On both sides of the staggered stone road, the distinctive bars are listed shoulder-to-shoulder. The authentic Guinness Stout, Baileys and whiskey are full of temptations for wine lovers.
