Photos of Onofrio's Large Fountain

The Great Onofrio's Fountain is an iconic building in Dubrovnik's old town. It was built in 1438 and was designed by designer Onofriodella Cava. The fountain marks the completion of the plan to bring water into the city from Rijeka Dubrovacka, 12 km away, to supply the city of Dubrovnik. The fountain was badly damaged in the 1667 earthquake and is now a famous attraction in the ancient city, where many tourists will rest and relax.
