A very interesting place to visit.
A very interesting place to visit. Both the forge and pumps were working. We were escorted by a guide who made the visit very interesting.
Fabulous tour
What an interesting and informative experience. My guide , Bill, took me around and explained not only how the Gasworks worked but the history of gas use in Dunedin.
Very good and atmospheric
Excellent example of why NZ's industrial heritage needs preserving. Not a topic to suit everyone but the tour was done by a terrific bunch of un paid volunteers. Well worth taking the time to see it.
Worth delaying trip home for!
We were the only visitors which was a shame as its only open for a few hours a week. The volunteer took us around and made sure we didn't miss anything and then left us to wander. Well worth $5. We wi...
