St. John's St Union Church is just a few minutes away from the sightseeing or shopping Princes Street, majestic in the church, still in pristine condition, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Visits are not ticketed but there is a donation box, worth a 15 minute break inside.
St John St Union Church is on Princes Street, Gothic style. You can take the bus there, the floor is a bit loose and walk on it. Art Deco style on the ceiling is quite spectacular, not too far from Edinburgh Masonic Hall
