Photos of Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Saint-Martin-Vésubie

Notre-Dame del 'Assomption d'Eze) is one of the town's landmarks. The church stands in the mountains, and its bright bright yellow facade stands out in a verdant mountain. Construction of the church began in 1764, opened in 1772 and completed in 1887. Its mottled façade contrasts with its magnificent baroque nave. The interior decoration is resplendent, and the exquisite frescoes make use of visual traps. A bust of Jesus carved from olive wood is also preserved in the church. It is truly amazing that such a magnificent church can be built on the top of a mountain town without car roads.
