Port of San Diego

San Diego City is the second largest city in California and the eighth largest city in the United States. The port of Santiago was built in 1542, as a Spanish military fortress in 1769, Mexico in 1834, occupied by the United States in 1846, established in 1850, and built a naval base in 1920. After 1980, it was the main support base for the 3rd Fleet of the United States. The eastern shore of the naval base is located in the middle of the bay, the terminal line is long 16.5 kilometers, the water depth is 6～ 11 meters, the west bank of the base is in the north of Coronado Island, at the entrance of the port of Santiago, with an amphibious combat base and a naval air station, the US Navy's 3rd Fleet Command and many of its troops stationed here. Santiago Port, the largest port of the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet, is home to several naval aircraft carriers. The tour guide said that we were lucky to catch up with the supply of foreign ships. So the battle was huge. The whole coast was full. We traveled half the Strait by boat, full of warships. It was shocking.
