Palazzo Medici Riccardi which was designed by Michelozzo di Bartolomeo is a prime example of Renaissance-style architecture. This mid-fifteenth century building is known for its masonry. While it was originally built for the head of the Medici banking family, the Marchesi Riccardi family later bought it and expanded the Palazzo during the seventeenth century. You can still find Baroque frescoes by Luca Giordano and various sculptures in the courtyard. By allowing only eight guests at a time, the Palazzo Medici Riccardi provides a cozy atmosphere to enjoy Renaissance masterpieces.
