One of the top attractions in Florence. Be sure to consider a visit here as it's full of different galleries.
Besides the beautiful gardens of the palace known as Boboli this palace walks you through all that is reflective of the time and it's opulence.
Pitti Palace was the residence of the Medici family. Inside there are museums and the magnificent Boboli garden
My favourite palazzo in Florence. If you're an art fan, do not skip the art galleries, there are some nice treats.Come walking from Uffizi, cross the postcard Ponte Vecchio, walk until you get to the palazzo. Afterwards have a stroll in the gardens, then take the bus back to the other river bank. There is one close to the palazzo gates that leaves you on Santa Croce.
When I'm overwhelmed by paintings and sculpture, I head to the Costume Gallery here, which displays 300 years of marvelous Italian creations--from 18th century principessa gowns to outrageously chic 1950s dresses.
