What people are saying:

This pza. is a good place to park your car for sul'Arno walks; to the Pitti Palace and Santu Spiritu Church. Look in the open doors during business hours (also evenings) to see craftsmen working in their own shops and studios. There is usually a dance club at night but they have to quiet down by a certain hour. Inside the church are among the most gorgeous, lifelike murals you will ever see. Masterfully cleaned and restored in the 70's they caused a stir becuase no-one had realized how bright these works had been in 1500 (AD) The church is ancient and charming at the same time.

    Not worth the entrance fee

It cost us 6 euro per person to enter the Santa Maria del Carmine. We thought we would have access to the entire complex but all we were allowed into was the Cappella Brancacci, and the Cenacolo. The ...

The big draw is the Brancacci Chapel

The Brancacci Chapel is the reason most people come to the church, and it must be accessed from a door to the right of the facade. The church itself is not without interest. The baroque illusionistic ...
