Strolling the streets of Wynwood on a nice Miami day is a wonderful experience. There are plenty of boutiques, restaurants, and of course the murals!
Great neighborhood to enjoy some unique art styles, very creative and very detailed. Some good restaurants and bars with good food. However, you need to know where to walk around and when, as some areas seem to have safety issues.
I live a few blocks from Wynwood, a little far away. It's full of energy whether you go in the morning or at night. If you wander the streets (preferably during the day) you'll find amazing art everywhere. If you are lucky enough to live nearby, you can feel it many times. Winnewood hosts a block party on Saturday. This is one of the best places to play in Miami.
If you love art, galleries, graffiti and food THIS IS THE AREA FOR YOU TO EXPLORE!!!
When people ask me what a good pitstop in Miami is, I always tell them Wynwood. It's just an awesome hub of culture. YOu've got a ton of delicious restaurants, the Wynwood Walls, and so many cool shops. It's the perfect place to spend the afternoon walking around!
One of a kind artsy experience, tons of fun bars and amazing restaurants. A must see in Miami.
The Wynwood Arts District is home to over 70 Art Galleries, Retail Stores, Antique Shops, Eclectic Bars, and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world.
I loved going and seeing the graffiti art on the sides of buildings and even on the sidewalks in the Wynwood Arts District. You could easily spend hours here if you wanted to try to see everything, and then probably still not see everything. The artwork is amazing. If I were to describe the area, it would be as a rundown section of town trying to make it's comeback into the place to be--so some areas I wondered if I should even be there, but yet they seemed to have some nice stores along the area, as well.
