Anstruther is an ancient fishing port on the east coast of Fife, 15 km southeast of St Andrews and 80 km south of Edinburgh in Forth Bay. Anstruther&#39;s name is derived from Scottish Gaelic. The town&#39;s history dates back to the early 12th century. In 1583, King James VI of Scotland approved the town as a royal autonomous town, granted it the right to trade and recognized its port status. On June 26, after taking the &quot;Princess May&quot; cruise ship to May Island, I strolled for 3 hours in the town streets and the port area pier. The whole town was strolled down.
