Asked for a quiet table with easy access, and got exactly that!The staff were welcoming and helpful and the food was a very good standard and generous portions.

I always find the Rose and Crown good all round service and quality and again it didn&#39;t disoppoint. I went with four friends who had never been and they really enjoyed it as well.

We stopped at Makeney Hall for one night as a stop off half way point on route to Sunderland...  lovey setting, peaceful well kept gardens, friendly staff and an enjoyable meal,,,  the only let down was the fact we were leaving the following day
