Vila do Peixe

This restaurant tastes great, the dishes inside are more classic, and the workmanship is more meticulous, and the taste is good.

Have visited here previously and know the fish is always extremely fresh and beautifully cooked. We took friends in their first visit to Madeira and they loved it. We had sea bass, red snapper and stone cooked steak with chips, baked potatoes and vegetables. With 2 glasses of wine, two beers and water it was excellent value at €150 and we enjoyed the wonderful view of the fishing boats and sea from our table in the terrace

This restaurant is a gem. The ambience is quite informal but the servers are professional and helpful. We chose to eat the fish on their counter, which was fun since we got to choose our own “dinner” and it was fresh fish that they cooked it in front of us. The side dishes were good, and we also recommend to get the cover charge.Would definitely recommend if you’re staying in Madeira.

We enjoyed the relaxed, lovely restaurant. Beautiful, simple food whilst admiring the beautiful view. A place to sit back and relax in.
