A small boutique hotel run by a husband and wife team who take great care to provide you with the best service possible. They engage with you at all times. The rooms are traditional style with lots of nice extra touches. The staff offer to spray your room against mosquitos every night which could not have been more helpful. We only ate in the hotel as there is nothing else in the local area suitable for tourists as the standard of hygeine outside the hotel is very low. The hotel is clean and there are hand washing facilities in the restaurant and garden if you choose to eat outside. The views of the Irrawaddy River are beautiful, especially at sunset. The owners are currently sorting out the boat so they can have dining on board and expand their business which I am sure will be worth it for them. We had the best room in the hotel, upstairs at the end of the balcony closest to the river. No complaints there. The food was excellent, the service was great and the staff even got up early (5.00am) on the day of our departure to ensure we had breakfast. Would highly recommend for food or accommodation. We would consider returning as it was so nice but would say the only thing we were missing was a swimming pool (however small).
