The Cuckmere Inn

Excellent meals. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent waiting staff. One tiny comment. I ordered a pavlova & it wasn’t a pavlova. If was a very large meringue. It looked amazing but too large for me to finish. It should be called a meringue not a pavlova. Very different. Nonetheless this didn’t spoil our experience.

Have been going here for years , recently the menu has been more limited and I have some allergens but they are always keen to adapt,The location is fantastic, particularly outside with the view over The Cuckmere . Today I found the service amazing , really polite and helpful guys. The food was great, beautifully presented.

Lovely cosy atmosphere with a real fire. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food very good. All round lovely evening with friends. Will definitely come here again.

our waitress Sarah was excellant and the food was of good quality with really good portions, and would definately recommend as a place to eat lunch. As very popular some delay with the food but worth the wait.
