Commune Restaurant Schiphol

Stranded overnight at the airport due to a cancelled flight, we didn’t rate our chances of getting a good meal very highly. After a bit of Googling we came across Commune and although not expecting too much we were delighted to find that the food was delicious and the service quick and pleasant. The restaurant feels very open and the airport is literally the other side of the glass, but what it lacked in atmosphere it more than made up for in food and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The food was excellent. We loved beet salad, yellowtail kingfish and grilled prawns. Every dish was well prepared and service was very attentive.

Great attention to customer, excellent service and staff that makes you feel at home. The meal we had was superb, both in presentation and taste. The price is reasonable if you consider the location. However you cannot properly call it "restaurant". Luxurious pub or cafeteria or "tavola calda" would be more appropriate to give you an idea of what you may expect as ambience.

Really good food, service really attentive and nice.Had a nice chill place to go, and all the tables are set with connection ports for charging my phone.

Great restaurant, loved the relaxed atmosphere and ambiance. Great place to spend a couple of hours, whilst waiting to travel. The service was very friendly and the lunch excellent. Highly recommend.
