Plates Café Bar Restaurant

I ordered beef cheeks, but was served beef ragu. It was tasty but just not what was ordered. the barman was excellent and made every effort to accommodate our requests.

It was really hard to find a menu- we didn’t realise that it was actually a buffet when we booked. We weren’t ok pressed either elections on offer for the expense.

Service was terrible, all 3 drinks came out about 15 minutes apart (apple juice, cider and lemonade). Pizza was good. Desert did not arrive so after 40 minutes of waiting we left.

After waiting for half hour, we had to call someone over to take our order and then we waited for over an hour and half to get our meals. We had ordered pizza, and was told that it takes a long time to cook pizza and they are very busy. The restaurant was not even half full. We were approached only once to ask what we wanted to drink, then we had to go up to the desk and ask to order more drinks. I did not see any other table needing to do this. I also saw other tables coming in after us, and getting their meals before us. Dreadful service, literally none.
