The Kappo cuisine is classic, and I recommend the puffer fish sashimi and streaky fruit. The taste is really great and the service is very good.
Sato is located in Kokura City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It is very close by Shinkansen from Hakata Station in Fukuoka City, but I thought I was short on time and miscalculated the Shinkansen service, so I was late! The restaurant almost cancelled my reservation...I ordered a pot of bamboo wine to calm myself down. Pour the two-day-old cold beidou into a bamboo cup. It tastes refreshing. After calming down, start enjoying the food. The dobin mushi with matsutake and snakehead fish is delicious, and the freshly baked mullet roe cakes and deep-fried puffer fish tail are impressive. The entire set menu includes both traditional dishes and the owner’s original creations. The tableware used in the store was collected piece by piece by the owner in the past, ranging from traditional Japanese precious pottery to Baccarat crystal plates, which complement the various seasonal dishes.
