There is a century-old Japanese confectionery shop near Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama. When I went there, the summer mandarin oranges and sugar were out of stock, but the autumn-limited chestnut Japanese confectionery was also good. The soft crust wrapped a large whole chestnut, with a delicate and sweet taste. I also bought a cookie with the words Togetsukyo printed on it, which was very delicious and suitable as a souvenir.

It is cool and not greasy in the mouth. The other one is more traditional. The red bean filling is a common one, but the skin is a bit strange.

It was raining outside when we came out for lunch. The rain was quite heavy. We had to stand on the street without an umbrella to avoid the rain. The Tenryuji Temple was right in front of us. The solemn stone tablet was washed by the rain, which added a bit of mystery. The aunt of the noodle shop kindly gave us two umbrellas, which made us want to go home and walk in the rain again.
