El Fogon

It's in the food court of a shopping mall but the meat is as good as any restaurant. I found the service in the restaurant to be attentive and more casual. If you decide to go for lunch specifically, sit in the food area, the food looks rushed and not that fresh. You get what you get when you sit there. I recommend sitting inside unless you are in a hurry.

I was recommended to this restaurant by a Burkebus tour guide and it was even better than expected. The menu was presented on a mini tablet with perfect translations. I had a very good steak, cooked exactly as requested, and my partner had an assorted meat plate which was large and cooked perfectly. The Tannat wine recommended by our waiter, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was very good as he spoke excellent English.

Although there are not many varieties of simple meals, they are well made.
