As one of the must-do restaurants for diners in Montevideo, I had to go there for lunch while sightseeing in the old town. As recommended, I arrived early (around 12:15). The restaurant is small, and all the seats are around a counter facing the kitchen and preparation area (so you can watch the show while you eat). The menu is simple but delicious. A sandwich, a salad, some fish, some meat... In addition to my dishes, which included cucumber/avocado/mint soup and beef tenderloin salad, the other dishes also looked beautiful and delicious. I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, but go too early to avoid waiting, because by 12:30 pm, all the seats were taken... The place is only open for a few hours during lunch.
